Brain Injury Awareness
Cynthia speaks and coaches from lived experience, helping individuals, families and organizations understand brain injury with more compassion, and helping survivors rebuild a life that feels whole.
Cynthia's Story
In 2021, Cynthia, a mother, teacher, and professional dancer, suffered a severe brain injury that brought her life to a sudden stop. For years, she battled post-concussion symptoms and debilitating panic attacks as she tried to rebuild herself from the ground up. Everything shifted when she learned how to create safety in her nervous system. Through a brain-injury program, she was introduced to nervous-system regulation and EFT tapping, tools that changed the trajectory of her recovery.
Step by step, Cynthia reclaimed her life. She went on to build two successful businesses, returned to the stage and found presence in her parenting. Today, she shares these same high-impact practices with high-performing teams, athletes, creatives, and leaders. She brings lived experience, deep expertise, and powerful presence to every room, carrying both the weight of what a brain injury demands and the proof of what nervous-system work can make possible.

Stories from those Cynthia has supported
"We had the privilege of listening to Cynthia Aguiar's insightful presentation on the power of movement and mindfulness at our recent Brain Injury Conference in June. The movement session provided a transformative experience that resonated deeply with the audience. Cynthia's calming presence immediately set a tranquil tone. The presentation seamlessly blended theory with practice, ensuring that participants understood the principles behind the various meditation techniques while diving into the guided session. This interactive approach not only enriched the learning experience for the day but also fostered a sense of community among attendees. Brain injury survivors and practitioners alike learnt techniques to cultivate inner peace and well-being that they will be able to use in the future. I would highly recommend Cynthia's presentation for your next event."
"Cynthia's presentation at the Brain Injury Association's Annual Conference provided incredible perspective into the mind and lived experience of a survivor & practitioner. Her talk was informative, providing hope for service providers and other survivors alike that leveraging what we have within our own bodies has the potential to heal and allow us to grow despite some of life's harshest adversity."
"Cynthia created a welcoming and comfortable space where participants felt encouraged to participate and ask questions. She did an excellent job making a virtual workshop interactive and engaging, which helped participants feel connected throughout the session. She also provided helpful resources and practical information that participants could take away and use beyond the workshop."
